22 Kestrel quays

The caravan is lovely . Very clean one of the cleanest vans we have stayed in apart form when we had ours. Lol 😆 Location of van was great away from the leasure centre which we prefer. The garden area and veranda was great . The beds was comfy.and really clean , The shower was great and aplenty of hot water. Great selection of dvds and well thought out children's things like books pens, bike helmets etc The childrens playground was great , very good for walking and views are lovely.

It needed some lamps in bedrooms and living room and it needs a hoover as there is not one . And needs a ironing bored as there's not one. Now for the site... which is where the issues are. The site where the caravans are is tidy .. but not spaced out correctly with no signs so it's very easy to get lost.. The food Is awful. Cooks fish shop is disgusting. Fish is raw.. the only thing ok but not great is the noodle place. Chopsix .. There is huge rats running around in the outside the lighthouse restaurant. And when I told them they said they know about it in a very bored voice.. like be was sick of the reports. . When folk was sat eating, one rat kept running under the tables. The restaurant outside area wasn't tidy rubbish all over bins needs empty and are over flowing . It's our first time staying here as we normally stay at primrose in my own van or at my friends at Reighton or my other van at Cayton bay. I'm really disappointed in thornwick bay, sadly due to the state of the site. With its unkempt leisure area and its infestation of rats . We doubt we will be back.. admitted Richards caravans are beautiful. If he had one on another site I would stay again in a heartbeat....but seeing the huge rats this evening as put us off.. especially the managers retort to me when I mentioned it. .

Lovely , clean caravan had everything you needed for a comfortable break away. Owner was intouch about stay and there if needed. Will highly recommend and will be returning.

Very clean ,good size plenty of room .comfy beds easy to find with little map we got. Could not fault it

Was a bit warm inside but we picked the right weekend with weather.

Caravan was clean and comfortable in a good position on site only 5 minute walk to shops and amenities Richard (the owner ) was brilliant and very good to correspond with.

Caravan was great but the site itself is too expensive ( not down to caravan owner ) Having to pay for passes to gain entry to activities and then pay again to use the actual activities . Big minus point against Haven.

We liked the location and the caravan park itself was lovely.

The caravan is very rundown and worn, this in itself wouldn’t have been an issue. However the caravan was damp, smelly and dirty. The table still had drink rings and food on it, the bathroom sink had toothpaste on the tap and in the sink. The bath mat and mat around the toilet were visibly dirty. The mattress in the main bedroom had springs sticking though and the duvet had marks all over. I expect a property that is dog friendly to sometimes have a “doggy” smell; the caravan smelt damp and almost like body odour. We only stayed for one night as we couldn’t face staying any longer.

The location was great. Quiet and easily accessible to all areas of the site. The caravan had good storage and good facilities.

The living room seats were hard and uncomfortable. They felt damp and smelled of dog. The beds and bedrooms were also uncomfortable, small and cramped. No towels provided.
