We loved the location. 15mins walk to the park and ride/train station which was a quick 5 min train into York.

10 minutes to York Centre by car, Very Quite Location, Clean + Well kept Garden with seating area's, Management +Staff Lovely + Friendly , Excellent Breakfast, Beautiful Motel with a Separate Room that has a Pool table ,T.V + Dart Board

Gorgeous country location but easy access to York. Amazing staff/management-spoke to Mark and Holly who were so lovely. The room was lovely and clean, the comfiest bed, probably ever! Food was amazing will return.

Can hear traffic at night Breakfast started at 8 which seemed to be a deliberate ploy not to serve it, given the smile the manager had. Not going back, price point too high for what it is.

The location. Just outside York with plenty of parking the Red Lion is close to the Park & Ride for easy access into the city of York. We.also enjoyed our evening meal. Good quality 'pub grub'.

Breakfast staff didn't turn up so we had to go elsewhere for breakfast. They have apologised and have refunded part of the money paid to cover this additional cost.

The road end out but the bathroom was ok

The property is in dire need of an update. Its paintwork is shabby, the wallpaper is coming off the walls and bedding was covered in hairs! The cushions smelt like an old dirty sock and the room was cold. It’s very drab! The cups in the room were different sizes and there was a broken plug socket. The pub stopped serving food at 8pm and I was informed you arn’t allowed children in after that time. Not even in the restaurant or lounge, although when I popped in to pay the room fee at 8.30 there was a woman and her baby in the bar! had everywhere else not been fully booked that evening my family and I would have left. Overall A disappointing stay for such a premium price paid.
