The Funny Lion - El Nido

Great location, the service is outstanding , great pool bar and the pool is good and fun. Lots of restaurants and shops around. The private beach was excellent day out !

We had very limited toiletries and didn’t realise we needed shampoo and conditioner. After a day at the sea, you definitely need them. We only discovered this at night during our shower and now we’re on a mission to find a store. It’s not a big deal but knowing beforehand would have saved us time and hassle.

The food and drinks were good. The pool was nice. The room was comfortable.

The picture of hotel in their ad makes it look like there are ocean view rooms. Apparently there are not. There are no elevators and I was on the 3rd floor. When I walked out of my room, the view was of an ugly scene of burning trash, roosters crowing, dogs barking and general filth and trash. It was depressing and was a terrible way to start and end day. When I went to check out, I wanted to pay my food bill in cash but they didn’t have the change to do, so they had to run across the street to break my 1,000 peso note. This made me late to an excursion.

Mooie aangename kamer. Zeer hygiënisch. Taartje in kamer voor speciale verjaardag….. Twee soorten gratis sapjes in frigo Zeer mooi zwembad. Zeer vriendelijk personeel. Goed ontbijt.

Zeer luidruchtig door straatlawaai van auto’s en tuktuks. Beperkte keuze menu diner

Loved the Funny Lion, felt so welcome and couldn't do enough for us. We were celebrating my partners "Big Birthday" and they arranged a private dinner with a special menu. We loved the vibes of the place, the staff. I couldn't fault The Funny Lion

The hotel has a modern, contemporary style and feels well designed throughout. The room was excellent, with an extremely comfortable bed that gave us a great night’s sleep. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, and the location is very convenient, just a few minutes from El Nido town.

The pool is a nice feature but doesn’t get much direct sunlight as it sits between two buildings. The shower opens into the toilet area, which can leave the floor wet after use. Breakfast was good overall, but a wider selection of fresh fruit would have been appreciated.

Property is beautiful however for the cost it sadly didn’t meet my expectations. Loved the architecture, the location and the food was brilliant.

The service is pretty slow, the pool fairly unkept lots of leaves not any music or things going on during the day. It is not a bad property but for the price I was like underwhelmed (I maybe came into this with too high expectations) Great place but for the money not good enough.
