The staff are very well trained and go out of there way to make sure all guests are having a pleasant stay. The facilities are clean and the food available either at breakfast or in the hunt restaurant is of top quality.

Our stay at Funny Lion El Nido was absolutely outstanding from start to finish. The hotel is located right in the center of town, yet it feels surprisingly calm and well thought out. Considering the limited space in El Nido, the design is extremely smart—everything feels open, comfortable, and never cramped. What truly sets this hotel apart is the staff. Everyone is genuinely friendly, always smiling, and incredibly helpful. We were especially impressed by how they remembered guests’ names, even though the hotel was fully booked during our entire stay. That level of personal attention makes a real difference. A big highlight was access to their beach spot, Papaya Beach, which they take you to free of charge. The beach is beautiful, relaxed, and has very reasonable prices for food and drinks—an amazing bonus that really elevates the experience. The spa was excellent. We had massages there and they were truly outstanding—one of the best we’ve had on this trip. The rooms were spacious, very clean, and extremely comfortable. Food was also very good, and the laundry service was fast, affordable, and convenient. All in all, this was an exceptional experience. For the price you pay, it’s hard to imagine finding a better option in El Nido. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area

Perhaps the only thing is the company they booked for us for the transfer from Puerto Princesa to El Nido... They have to be more cautious about who they hire when they need to outsource some services.

The service was amazing from the start, Val the supervisor was great and remembered our names from the time we entered the hotel. Every other staff of the hotel was attending to our needs fantastically. Hotel itself is beautiful and hotel beach is a must visit. Food was great and priced fair, I would definitely recommend and I would love to visit once again.

Struttura dotata di ogni comfort (letto comodissimo), arredata con gusto, piscina molto bella e in posizione perfetta, a pochi minuti a piedi dal porto e in pieno centro. Staff gentilissimo e disponibile. Abbiamo deciso addirittura di prolungare il nostro soggiorno.

Room was nicely designed, efficient and spacious. Pillows and bedding were very comfortable. Hotel facilities such as the gym and pool were nice. While we didn’t get a chance to visit their private beach, we heard great things about it. Breakfast spread was awesome - slightly different every morning. The staff was absolutely amazing and made our experience in El Nido so much better, especially since it rained a lot during our stay. There were little nice touches such as offering cookies, popcorn, banana bread, etc.

Body wash, shampoo and conditioner was the same, not separate bottles.

Lo staff sopra ogni cosa è quello che rende l'esperienza al Funny Lion sicuramente tra le migliori mai avute a livello di ospitalità. Ci siamo ritrovati con un problema da gestire e sono stati eccezionali nell'aiutarci ben oltre il dovuto. Il cibo e i drink sono ottimi. La spiaggia privata che mettono a disposizione è sicuramente tra le più belle viste a el Nido, se non la più bella. Ci ritornerei senza pensarci.
