Robin's Den - Whitby

The cleanliness of the property was appalling! We entered into the property and there was human waste still left in the toilet from somebody else using it. The shower itself was vile. Covered in other peoples hair, underneath the beds hadn’t been hoovered and there was other peoples belongings still under it. The walls were stained as well. You do not expect to see this kind of uncleanliness from somewhere you pay good money for . I highly suggest that you get some new cleaners

Nice little property. Quiet area. Not too hard to find. About a 25 minute walk into Whitby, so great for people with dogs. Very close to a supermarket and petrol station. All the basics were covered: full kitchen to make your own meals, tea and coffee provided, TV, dvds and board games. Beds were comfortable. We got caught in the rain so we ordered fish and chips from Railway chippie once we got back and they delivered to us no problem.

The parking is a bit tight to get through the gate. There was a damp smell in the house (we found a slug behind the TV, so they must have found a way in). Nothing would put me off staying there again though. Suggestions; - Could do with towel rail in downstairs toilet. - The bin not being in the kitchen isn't too convenient.

Location was fantastic , property was exactly as in the pictures . We liked that we could let ourselves into the property with no hassle . We also liked that there were some board games for us to play of an evening . There was also everything you needed in the property for self catering , supermarkets very near to property also and only a 15 min walk or 5 min drive to Whitby town centre.

The WiFi didn’t have the greatest signal and there was only a streamed TV service available .

Good location.

Difficult to park, leak in bathroom, no towel rails, no wardrobe in main bedroom. Low ceilings upstairs banged head numerous times.

Clean

Although we brought our own there was no sign of welcoming our dog eg bowls or treats and no welcome pack for us, all other properties we have stayed in for a couple of days or a weeks stay has had some kind of welcome to the property.

Very spacious property that was in an ideal location. The property was clean and well furnished; it provided the perfect base

There were some areas of mould in the downstairs bathroom and there were marks on the walls
