Contractor and family friendly spacious 3-Bed House with private parking, WiFi, garden area

This could have been a good, confortable property. It has a large spacious lounge and dining room, it is in a good location in an area where there are few alternative options for a family of 5.

The central heating is oil fired and there was no oil left. It was freezing when we arrived. We found 2 small electric heaters that we used to heat the living room then moved to the bedrooms but the rest of the house was freezing. There was dirty pots in the dishwasher which had been there so long they had gone mouldy, the oven was filthy and when we tried to cook a pizza the smoke set the smoke alarm off and there was washing in the washing machine and dryer and there was no seat on the toilet in the upstairs family bathroom. Booking.com told us to raise these issues with owner which we did and she told us someone would go round to sort the heating and clean. No one came. The house was the same when we arrived back the following evening. Considering this is advertised as family friendly, there are only 2 forks, 3 mugs and limited kitchen equipment. The owner offered us a refund of the cleaning fee of £40 which we rejected. This was a terrible stay after we had travelled 500 miles and paid £270. This property has been very neglected. Contact from the owner was good but unfortunately she didnt rectify the heating problem and couldnt have done anything about the other issues in the time we were staying there for 2 nights.

The location was great.

The cleanliness was poor, there were socks left in the wardrobe, no cleaning had been done, the toilet seat was off and in the lounge. There was food left int he fridge. Cobwebs and dust under the bed.

Good location, easily accessible not too bad value for money only slept at propery as attended a family wedding nearby. Plenty of space, beds were comfortable enough.

We had to make up a bed as the sheets were still in the dryer, bathrooms and toilets weren't cleaned could do with a revamp, kitchen are was cleaned lots of spiders and cobwebs also. We requested an extra hour for late check out and were advised £20 charge as would require extra hour cleaner however maybe should look into who's cleaning as it was definitely not up to scratch no products anywhere, quite dusty everywhere and strong drainage smell. Curtains hanging off and toilets seats broken also. Little upkeep needed. However we were only sleeping there soo was reasonable. Wouldn't stay again.

It was spacious

Property was clean and “fair” inside but the outside of this property is poor. Broken fence and a dumped sofa near the driveway. We wanted this accommodation so we could attend a friends wedding down the road, however the host was quite difficult and not at all flexible. We wanted to drop bags off and get changed around 12 to then attend the wedding but only the day before did the host then say they wanted another £30-40 (£10 per hour “early check in”), which was completely unreasonable as we only needed to pop in for 15 mins and we had asked this early on, and were told to ask the day before if it was free. At no point was there mention of additional money. We used a pub down the road instead. Then on the day of the booking around 7pm (when we were at the wedding!) we got a message asking if we needed all the beds as only “1 person was listed on the booking” or the cleaners wouldn’t clean them or “make them up” . They did do all the beds but it wasn’t good service at all to ask this when we booked the entire property. New bedding is desperately needed. Additional issues: There was a musty smell throughout the property, dirty dishes had been left in the dishwasher which smelled awful, smelly bed linen/or pillows on some beds. There were no towels (luckily we had brought a couple of hand towels between us) there was a lack of cleaning supplies to wash up crockery (just a disgusting looking scouring sponge and dirty dish cloth) Would not book again.

3 double beds and single beds. Sky TV Wifi The ice lollies left in the freezer was a lovely treat. Thank you.

The outside bins were full, because of this we were unable to separate the recycling from the rubbish and so had to put everything into one bin. No washing up liquid or dishwasher tablets. No fish slice or trays. But we made do.

All the rooms was a good size

Needs some TLC and a good Clean throughout

The location was great, quiet street nice neighborhood, bus came past the house but didn't use it as I drove everywhere, parking outside the house, house was beautiful perfect size 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Huge garden. Beds were comfortable.

Was greated with tons of spiders including in the bed, myself and kids are scared of them so wasn't welcoming, washing was still in the machine and tumble dryer, beds stunk so had to wash the bedding before we slept, oven was mank, bathrooms were mank, a big metal chunk was poking out in the bathroom, water was dangerously hot and host said it couldn't be adjusted. No shower gels just empty bottles, 1/4 roll of tissue in each toilet. Spiders were everywhere and I mean everywhere, washing machine was all moldly and the dishwasher looked like it had food thrown in there. The dining table was dirty and the work services. The toilet seat was broken and my daughter fell off it and hurt herself so I fixed it myself to prevent further injuries. The garden fence was fallen down but luckly it was a lovely neighborhood.

Location was great with great parking on the driveway, WiFi, smart tv in the lounge with comfortable sofa, tv in every bedroom

Could do with a bit of tlc, bedding had a bad odour, half a toilet roll between the three toilets
