3 Bedroom Apartment in the Heart of Newcastle - Modern - Sleeps 6

The Location is perfect for Quayside and short walk into the main centre

Don't know where to start, have sent a full list of tweak's that need improving in the property, not to standard described

The only good thing is the location for going out and the sofa was very comfortable

Anything but dreamy The entry was unsafe and stank this should have been a red flag but as 5 young women we went with it. We failed to enter with the code we were originally given. Our host then sent us a new code. Before entering the apartment it we noticed the walls were very badly plastered over as if someone had punched through them at our front door. Upon entering our apartment there was a terrible smell of damp and it was extremely cold. We had a look around as you do and found that it was very unclean and just looked tattered and uncared for. Dirty marks all over the walls, paint peeling off, no batteries for the tv remote, and previous guests personal belongings were still lying around. After attempting to put the heating on we realised it was off, we were left with one tiny electrical heater for one room, when approaching the host about this issue he brought us more of these heaters, which were faulty and could not be used as they tripped the electricity. We had to go and buy blankets and warmer night clothes. There was two showers in our apartment which was perfect for 5 girls. However there was only 3 towels left for us and after one shower the water was freezing cold. Our host asked us to enter another apartment and take the towels from in there, which we did, however when approached about the hot water he said that we had used it all. I find it extremely hard to believe that one 5 minute shower used all the water in the apartment. We all had to have cold showers for the rest of the trip. We also had issues with the hob in which it took nearly to hours to cook something that should have took 30 minutes… again we approached our host, he told us there was a plug in hob and we should use this. This again tripped the electricity! As girls there to enjoy ourselves we tried to laugh it off. However the final straw was waking up and going to sit down on the sofa and it was soaking wet due to a leak in the roof coming from above.

Amazing location, Tony was very helpful and was very easy to get a hold of over message if we needed anything.

This property got “double booked” aka they thought they’d try their luck and rent this out for more as it was great north run weekend, got £1000 compared to the £400 we paid, and put us into a worse place. Moved by no fault of our own. The apartment was disgusting - stains everywhere, filthy, broken blinds, more like a bed sit than a modern apartment suggested by the images. Considering a lot of people are visiting newcastle to take part in the great north run for charity (myself included) it seems somewhat rich that they’ve being taken of advantage of by accommodation providers. Do not stay here!!!! Refused to refund :)
