Nantahala Nook, cabin w/hot tub,game room, & wifi

The view was beautiful! There is plenty space in the home and on the decks. My teenagers enjoyed the game room downstairs. The shower in the upstairs bedroom was nice! It is nice that the owner has a stock of games for guests and my guys enjoyed playing the piano. Beautiful home and we would stay again! The drive up was scary the first time but it isn’t bad at all once you learn it.

There is nothing that we just didn’t like about with this home.

Absolutely nothing!

The cabin was beautiful, with a spacious layout and thoroughly stocked kitchen and bathrooms. It was very clean and has an amazing view of the surrounding nature (trees, foothills) to enjoy while sitting on the spacious deck. The master bedroom shower is divine, very spacious with a bench to sit if needed. The hot tub was what the body needed after a long drive. The living room fireplace provided a warm and cozy atmosphere to chat and watch some TV. The host was very responsive, and super friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed the air hockey and ping pong table too!

The wi-fi was a little slow but that’s to be expected based on the area (it’s very secluded and surrounded by trees). Nothing else to dislike and that is very minor considering it did work.

we travelled to the area to ride motorcycles; it is in the perfect location for anyone looking to do the same. it is located right off of moonshiner 28 which leads straight to tail of the dragon and multiple other roads that people desire to ride in the area.

the road up to the house is paved and perfectly fine for car, truck, or motorcycle to access. As for us we had 4 motorcycles in a 20ft enclosed trailer which still was not a deal breaker for us, but I definitely wouldn't advise anything bigger and only someone with extensive experience pulling a trailer should even attempt the journey up or down the access road with any trailer.

The home is great and the view from the balcony is beautiful. It has a well appointed kitchen, nice game room with a piano, books and games. The hot tub is great after a day of hiking, fishing and tubing. Family time by the fire pit is wonderful at night. Bring supplies to make s'mores or roast hot dogs. We bought a few bundles of wood at the local gas station and gathered kindling in the surrounding wood. Since we did not bring anything to roast the marshmallows on we just washed and soaked some tree branches.

There was nothing I didn't like about the home. There were a few items that needed to be repaired so I let the host know. One thing I didn't mention is the air conditioning unit downstairs can be a bit loud, so you may need to bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper. The sound seems to just be in the hallway it does not seem to affect the rooms themselves. I would also mention the driveway at the home can be a bit tricky. We took our truck with 4 wheel drive and my SUV with out four wheel drive. I would not have felt comfortable, driving the S. U. V. down the path to the home. I had to put my truck into 4 wheel drive in order to get back up to the paved part of the road. I am not saying that a car without 4 wheel drive couldn't make it. I'm just saying that I did not feel comfortable driving my non 4 wheel drive vehicle down the driveway. The road leading up to the home is perfectly fine and paved. It's just the area in front of the home. We were in the mountains though, and I believe this is to be expected. There is also a level paved area to park your car instead of driving on the gravel.

This cabin was absolutely wonderful! Very spacious and kids loved the game room and hot tub. The beds were so comfy! The view from the porch and hot tub were beautiful! Would definitely stay here again!
