Grand 2 bed Georgian apartment at Florence House with king bed, in the heart of Herne Bay & 300m from beach

The apartment is spacious and beautiful, and was in an ideal location for our walking holiday along the coast. The host had agreed in advance to rent us extra beach towels, so we were able to swim at Heron's (directly opposite) which was very helpful. It was a chilly afternoon when we visited but the heating was quick and effective when we turned the thermostat up. Using the lock box for the keys to access the apartment worked fine. You can hear people moving around in the flat above, but it didn't disturb us.

There was no welcome pack, despite previous reviews suggesting written information could be provided. I had to contact the host 3 times by phone - once to get the check-in information, which finally came through at 3:20, secondly to find out where the extra bed we had booked was (I was surprised to have to find and make this up myself), and thirdly to get instructions for the TV. The TV had access to netflix and amazon prime, but it didn't have a great connection so it wasn't a great watching experience. There were only 3 bowls, which was shame when having breakfast as a family of 4.

It was a perfect little flat for our short stay with our kids visiting family nearby. Really lovely flat, clean and everything we needed.

We had a lovely stay, the apartment looks amazing, as we went for New Year's Eve there was even a beautiful Christmas tree. There was everything we needed for the stay. It's a good location near the beach and restaurants.

This may be beyond the control of the host, but the automatic light in the communal hallway doesn't stay on for very long - not long enough to get up to the first floor without the lights going off.

The location is amazing, the propoerty is well presented and clean. The host was friendly and offered advice on local attractions.

The people in the flat above us were very noisy into the early hours of the morning, we could hear them having conversations. It was as if they decided that 11pm was the right time to start cleaning their flat above us, it was so noisy!

Oliver was a bit elusive, and I didn't receive any information about checking in, until 0900 on the day of arrival, which was a bit concerning. Once actually in contact, he was very helpful, so might have been a one off.

Right in the heart of Hear Bay. Literally everything is around the corner. Plus morrisons a 3 min walk. We was very satisfied.
