Velvet Apartments - 56 Vicar Lane

Location is great. One of the best apartments I have ever stayed in. All mod cons, spacious, well equipped.

Near as dammit perfect

Great location and cosy little apartment which was perfect for our visit.

The utensils in the kitchen were a bit basic as we were cooking a meal, knives were very blunt and no frying pan but I do appreciate that not everyone would be cooking as much as we did!

Great location

No tea or coffee available. There was washing up liquid, which was handy because the glasses were dirty. Lipstick marks from previous visitors. And was told deposit would be sent back within 7 days from leaving........waited 13days.

Location is ideal

The bed springs stuck in you making it impossible to sleep so slept on the sofa. The bed sheets and pillow cases didn’t look or smell like they had been washed. The pillow cases smelt like hair and were yellow and the bed sheets had stains on. There was also dark hairs in the bed. Disgusting really to think that it hasn’t been cleaned prior to our arrival. Just looked like it has been slept in the night before we got there. Because it’s in the town and near a club/pub they had deliveries from 4AM and were smashing bottles and making a lot of noise which kept me awake most of the night. So together with sleeping on the sofa and it being really noisy it wasn’t a pleasant stay at all…
