Our Lodge at Newquay Bay NB35

The caravan was clean, well equipped with cooking utensils (though we ate out all the time) It was spacious, had great storage, and excellent WiFi (which was great because we travelled from Ireland and none of us had any phone coverage) We travelled as a family of four adults and one four year old so the space in the kitchen/dining area was excellent. Have to add, even though they're small, it was such a comfortable bed. The place is so peaceful and we all slept great.

Bit of a hill into town but the 123 taxi service is absolutely excellent. Would definitely recommend those guys

Was very comfortable had the best sleep and the beds were very comfortable. It was clean and very cosy.

Just that the TV didn't have much channels. Netflix was working but the second day went off also.

Location

Wifi didn't work, which meant tv didn't work, owners difficult to contact as they had other commitments. Cleaning not good dirt on floor, skids in toilet, long dark hair in shower, rusty and dusty cooker hood andcookerdidn'twork. Accommodation would have been lovely if it wasn't for the above, but owners did offer a full refund as asked to leave because we complained, which we did get a couple of weeks later. What was supposed to be a relaxing time visiting family became quite stressful. Luckily found alternative accommodation on same site, which was perfect and owners on site made it very welcoming.

Location was excellent, caravan was lovely

Check in was super easy, key code was sent early on in the morning of check in day and worked absolutely fine without any issues. The caravan itself was lovely and had a carpark right next to it so that was really handy for unpacking/packing. We did have an issue with the heating not working but the owner replied to my message straight away and although the advice was good, it didn't solve the issue and so we had to go to reception but within 5 minutes the onsite facilities staff were at the door and sorted the issue which was just low boiler pressure. The site is in a lovely spot and has a lovely outlook over the rolling hills.

Unfortunately the double bed was the most uncomfortable bed I think I've ever lay on. It tilted backwards and the slats kept popping out just by trying to reposition, both me and my partner had no sleep and unfortunately had to end our holiday a night early as we couldn't cope with it for another night. Also a certain northern bar staff member could do with a few lessons at charm school, telling me the pepsi was ok after I'd politely returned it and explained that the syrup must have gone as there was no taste and the drink was literally see through but nope after dumping that down the sink he poured himself a bit in a glass and tasted it to them tell me 'nah nothing wrong with that'!! I then got given another glass of the brown tinted liquid which as he poured was literally flowing clear with the odd bit of brown. Never went back into the bar area after that, much rather spend my money somewhere where they offer a smile and know what they're doing.

It was in a good spot. Loved the size of the living room, plenty of seats and a dining area. The two WC’s and the three bedrooms. Plenty of cutlery cups and plates and cooking pans. Lovely sized fridge. Lots of storage space.

The lounge carpet is in need of carpet cleaning and had dark fluffs of hairs coming from it. The dining room table was very wobbly. We were concerned it would break. The bottom drawer in the right side bedroom front came off. The double bed slats kept coming off on the side by the door. The window side was comfortable. The dust pan and brush were filthy with coffee stuck to them and so I washed the pan. The broom was broke in half and as it is metal is dangerous as it was sharp. The key kept going round when locking.
