The Warden's House - Yala

I highly recommend this unique, beautiful, small safari property. Our room was stunning. The pool was lovely and the staff were excellent. The food is a highlight. We did 2 game drives and saw leopards and a bear.

It was way too hot to have the raised fire pit going at dinner. I’d recommend some candles on the dinner table at night to see.

Amazing little boutique hotel with only 4 rooms. Very friendly staff with an amazing host and guide for incredible safaris in Yala.

Struttura meravigliosa. Camere ampie, bellissime, pulite. Cena e aperitivo pazzeschi al buio sotto le stelle davanti al focolare. Avendo pochi ospiti mi è piaciuta molto l’idea del gestore di far sedere tutti davanti al fuoco per l’aperitivo per conoscersi e poi fare una tavolata unica. Non sono una tipa socievole ma l’idea mi è piaciuta molto. Il servizio impeccabile. Il Safari organizzato altrettanto bello.

Nice, quaint boutique accommodation with beautiful grounds. Room was excellent and clean. Serving staff and cleaning crew very attentive.

Management team unprepared for arrival (despite notifying of ETA over whatsapp in advance). Female member of concierge team had particularly poor attitude - laughed after we carried bags from dirt driveway to main hotel building because our arrival was supposedly unexpected. Our nominated guide however was warm and friendly. Room amenities and cleanliness truly 5 star but service and food below par. Perhaps a new chef(?) as previous reviews spoke extremely highly of the dining experience but we were left pretty disappointed by the food quality. Underwhelmed for price per night - which far exceeded what we paid elsewhere in SL for superior experiences.

Warden’s House is amazing. With only 4 guest rooms it’s tucked away from the busy town. We received exceptional service and care from the staff. Avi, our safari guide was so kind, knowledgeable, and his attention to detail left us feeling like Queens! Hats off to the chef. The food was so delicious, especially the rice and curry! I cannot say enough good things about this place and our experience.

Nothing except the pool steps are a little slippery.
