和光荘 Harmonious Light West

The location was great! Close to the train station and around multiple restaurants. There was a small convenience store nearby too if you needed basic things. The amenities were great- enough plates and cutleries to use. Rooms were spacious, modern design and clean. You could get direct sunlight in the ground floor bedroom early morning, which I enjoyed. You could enjoy the projector screen in the kitchen area for late night movie too.

Great location with a great restaurant next door. Perfect for doing the Hakone tours. Absolute no need for a car to see the volcano and mt Fuji

The attic is mezzanine and not a separate room but ok for kids

I loved everything about this property! It was the perfect location, 5 minutes walk from Gora station. It was also large, spacious, clean and had everything you could want. Lots of unexpected quirks. Two large comfortable bedrooms and then two camp beds in the loft so could sleep four comfortably or six at a push. Make sure you visit the open air museum, one stop away on the scenic train.

Make sure to close the toilet doors so when you walk past they don’t open every time 🤣. But honestly, there was nothing we didn’t like!

Location was good and super close to the train station. The unit was very clean and a/c units worked well on floors 1 and 2.

We had issues with transportation as our departure time was early in the am. We contacted the management company and although they provided some options, it was not helpful as we were unable to make local calls and did not speak Japanese. If the host had been an individual opposed to a company, I think that may have been easier as it was with other sites that we stayed at.

Modern ,hi tech, clean, neat, full supplies in the kitchen. I loved the way we dry our clothes, we can hang it in the washroom after wash and turned on the heating system to dry our clothes instead put it in the dryer. Great location, it was 5 mins walking to Gora station.
