和光荘 Harmonious Light West

Very beautiful exquisite home. And - very light - all the time - even at night. Definitely need an eye mask for everyone The loft space is open air to the below bedroom So you can hear every movement /sound - etc. Although this place was extremely beautiful and well stocked and impeccably clean I think we would choose an onsen hotel or Ryokan next time as I was not able to find any Onsens in the evening that were open to the public and finding dinner without a reservation was tough too

Beds uncomfortable for us. The 3rd bedroom basicslly doesn't exist, its a landing with no head room at all, no heating and no cooling. The outside of the property have several very bright lights that shine into the windows each night with no way to turn them off. Not easy to sleep on the 1st floor ( double bedroom). The photo in the review is taken at 1am. The only 2nd floor bedroom(twin) also sees these lights but in addition has glass panels and walls to the hallway where super bright emergency exit signs and fire alarms shine directly into the room. Upon checking in you are sent a list of what feel like threats and fines. If you don't eat all your food while staying there you will be fined 5000 yen. Not sure what sort of place they're running but its super disappointing for the price.

Beautiful home, great amenities. Our kids loved having the upstairs all to themselves.

Parking became a little tricky. People eating at the restaurant next door parked in our housing spot.

This a very nicely decorated property . It has an excellent kitchen and lovely bathrooms. The beds are very comfortable and it is all new and clean . It’s very close to the train station so it’s convenient for Hakone.

We were here in December and found the downstairs to be cold.

Great location right next to Gora Stations, all amenity are provided, the whole house are in mint condition, the kitchen is fully equipped. Great place for large family or big friend group

It had fabulous facilities and room for a group to spread out. The kitchen, bathroom and toilets were fantastic and the location was great.

The sound travelled and the beds were hard.
