和光荘 Harmonious Light West

Location was perfect. Gorgeous scenery, 5 mins walk from train station, cable car, restaurants and shops. Projector/screen in dining area was a bonus The house was - mostly - spotlessly clean, beds were comfortable and the availability of a washing machine was much appreciated.

Floor under the dining table looked like something had been spilled and not cleaned up. I stood on a stick patch and had to wash the floor and slippers provided. The dining table had sticky, round marks on it which I cleaned and the worktop on the right of the cooker had grease blobs which I also cleaned A clothes horse for hanging wet or damp clothes would be a good addition. Small things, the house was genuinely livy.

The house is modern and looks lovely. Good instructions. for self check in and checkout.

It took us a bit of time to find the house and the street there is very narrow. The house is all windows (glass walls all over) which was a bit chilly at night.

Location was great. Easy walk to/from Gora train station. Property was clean and tidy.

Needs blockout blinds, as it’s light inside at 4:30, which is far to early to be awake on holidays. There are no grocery stores (7eleven, Lawson, etc) nearby.

The house is very new and modern; we loved having a washing machine! The location is great near the train station, but I would still recommend having a rental car in this area. We really appreciated that this place had parking! The toilets and shower were fancy and modern.

This really should not be listed as a 3-bedroom; the 3rd "bedroom" is an unheated, uncooled loft area with a short 3-foot high ceiling. It was disappointing that one of our kids had to endure the sweltering heat up there. It also is partially open to the floor below, so any light or noise will keep everyone up. The beds in the bedrooms were also the most uncomfortable we had during our entire trip to Japan - the springs poke right through to your back.

Good location close to the station, modern design and brand new furniture and appliances. Clean and neat, really a good choice for family stay.

It'll be more comfortable for sleeping if the curtains are light blocking and the emergency Exit indicator plates are dimmed.
