Berridge Solo Stays - NG7

Good value for money. Outstanding cleanliness. Private kitchen with microwave, kettle, toaster, and hotplate, cutlery and crockery provided. Wi-Fi was excellent. Short walk to tram stop and ASDA, there are also some local food shops. Tram ride to city centre is only 10 minutes. (You could walk it in 30 except for the steep hills, so maybe 45). Most things I would have disliked at other properties are justified by the price; this is a basic place to crash out for a couple of nights.

No on-site staff. In particular, no way to contact them except phone, a single point of failure. Use of lockboxes for keys. Took me by surprise as only told by text on the day; can be coped with (e.g., if you have a spare phone), but should have been highlighted in the property listing. The area is almost deserted at night and some people may feel more comfortable getting a taxi after 10pm.

Decent facilities within the building. Kitchenette in the studio rooms and kitchen/laundry in the basement. Host also messages to check in, good check in and out instructions. Location is close to the tram station

There was a hole on the floor and the mattress was quite uncomfortable. There was no desk and chair to sit at in the room either.
