Ashfield Co-Living - Private Room Self-Cater

It was a short stay but unpleasant. The location was great-quite and continent. The property was spacious overall, although the toilet and bathroom were in the worst condition.

The toilet and bathroom were in the worst condition. There was clogging and waterlogging in the shower area, and despite messaging the host about it, we received no response for two nights. The toilet door was not functioning properly.

The property is in a quiet location, with a clean room and house, and a fully equipped kitchen.

Everything was perfect. A small kettle and a cup in the room would have made the stay even more comfortable.

The best thing about the property is that the kitchen is well equipped with cooking utensils and crockeries.

The ensuite always has a foul smell which is disgusting. The sink in the ensuite is too small to use. It’s very convenient.

Easy access.

Lots of rubbish/fly tipping in the street. Room/bathroom smelt damp. Noise from other residents around 1am.

The kitchen and dining area were very good. They were clean, modern and very much to our liking.

I went to Manchester to sit my exams. The night before my first exam was absolutely horrible. Arrivals at around 1 A.M., kept us up well after 4 A.M, until we finally drifted off to sleep. We were met by the most revolting smell from the bathroom on our arrival. The carpet was dirty, which was made quite evident with hair blowing from it, into the bathroom, and dirty tracks noted on the carpet, from the bathroom to the bedroom door. For 4 nights, my husband threw drainage cleaner, hot water, and sometimes bleach down the drain, in attempts to get rid of this smell. We spoke with the contacts about what we were facing, and though they offered their regrets that another accommodation could not be supplied, that honestly did nothing for me. Truth is, I picked this accommodation because it was reviewed as clean. I am afraid I was fooled. We will not be returning.
