Guidance before the check in wasn’t very clear

Luggage storage was listed as possible but it is 30 minutes away so we used and paid for a luggage drop on the same street when we left My daughter left something in the apartment and it was impossible to reach the host neither by email nor phone (during office hours) and in the end we had to go out to the luggage storage location and try there which was not ideal

Neither tvs worked all just displayed a mixed signal . Dirty entrance and hallway .Broken panel on one of bedroom windows with screw hanging off reported to owners on arrival.
AELocation was right underneath the castle 🏰 at the end of the Grassmarket area - so easy access to shops and restaurants plus all the sightseeing locations. Lounge and kitchen were a good size with good amenities. Everything was clean and tidy . Beds were ok - second bedroom was a bit tight and the wall lamps didn’t work.
We found the apartment very noisy 🗣️. There was a jackhammer going until 9pm the one night and A-LOT of revellers until the wee hours. The foyer and staircase needs attention - lots of old flyers, chipped paint and debris everywhere which didn’t create a great impression.
GRLocation was great and easy to access. The apartment was nice, clean and comfortable.
The management definitely needs to have the main entrance and stairs cleaned regularly because the first impression when entering the main building is dissapointing.
GBWe only had a quick 24 hour visit to Edinburgh and hit lucky with a modern apartment in an historic building overlooked by the amazing Edinburgh Castle. Two great bedrooms, a modern bathroom and the kitchen had everything from a coffee machine to a dishwasher. We loved the thick white towels and crisp sheets.
Like a lot of rentals, the arrival time is 4pm and departure just after 10am. I didn’t feel that was value for money.

USlocation was amazing. the property itself was beautiful kept and thoughtfully designed .
Hard to find with address as directed, that needs to be dealt with. parking is an event, weekends no problem, but it’s adjacent to the biggest attraction in Edinburgh , the castle.
