Nr Birmingham City Centre, 5 Bed, Luxe Inn

Room we're very clean. Kitchen had glass and plates, toaster and kettle. Spacious garden.

Living room sofa took so much space, could only sit 5 people in the living room for house that accommodates 11 people.

The house is well decorated which everyone loved. Quite close to where we wanted to go and the local shops.

Outside the property was very dirty, had a cat living in the rubbish which is a shame to see. I feel for the amount of money it costs to stay here, all the slightly imperfections like fire alarm hanging off ceiling, touch up on paint etc should be sorted. We also noticed there was an ant issue in the kitchen, the downstairs bathroom needs to have a better door as you can see through it. Also, the living room needs to be bigger if you are advertising for 11 people.

Key code was easy to use but a little confusing seeing as there was also a key safe but they door key code worked fine. The place was clean

Upon arriving the bins were full and overflowing. This wasn’t so much of a problem but meant there was no space to put rubbish and the property had taken a deposit of £300 and made it clear there would be a fine for left rubbish which made us a little worried that we would be charged for other people’s rubbish. Also meant we had to take our rubbish away with us. They also fined us £25 for 3 missing plastic glasses that were not taken by us. I get the impression they will try and fine you for anything they can. There is a strong smell of drains downstairs and the whole place could do with redecorating. There were lots of broken lamps etc in the cupboards. The area is also not safe - many taxi drivers explained that they would not pick up from that area.

The rooms were very spacious and clean and it had free parking space in front of the house. The beds were very comfortable. Also towels were provided. The owner replied fast. There are multiple small shops in the neighborhood and a very cozy pub (The Church).

One of the bathrooms flooded and after the maintenance team came by, we were told to no longer use the bathroom for the rest of the stay. We were with 7, so that was inconvenient. Even though the owner replied very fast to previous messages, we didn't receive any reply to our complaint at the end about the flooding. There was no kitchen table, or no table at all for that matter, so we couldn't have dinner together. The living room with the couches didn't provide enough seats for the 7 of us. We didn't like the area. It was a bit of a walk to go to the nicer areas, but it was close by if you'd go by car.
