Beech Lodge 1 Hot Tub

Very comfortable had everything we needed, could have done with a fan though as it was very hot weather during our stay, beds were super comfy .

Thought the outside of the property looked a bit tired

Beech Lodge was spotlessly clean with lovely views of the lake. The location was perfect for regular buses in to York. The beds were very comfortable and we enjoyed the hot tub.

Scenery and location

Poor TV reception.lack of cutlery.needed refurbishment..and floor very slippery (had a really bad fall) kitchen table needed a good scrub cups sticking to it

Great location, not far from city centre. Lovely walk around the pond and not overcrowded. The hot tub was private and not visible to other lodges which was great.

When we arrived the bin hadn’t been emptied and it did smell, but that was rectified. It would be handy to leave bin bags in the property. It was a hot weekend, and perhaps worth having fans or a fan in the lodge too?

Location is great. Idyllic place. Weather helped which was a bit of luck. Next to shops, pubs and takeaways if needed. 1hr stroll to centre of York or 5 min drive. (parking is pricey though so plan ahead)

Could have done with a mop for the lodge. Im sure if we had opened our mouths we would have got one but still i think the lodge should have one. The floor was quite hard to keep clean. Especially with having plenty of wildlife on your door step and their incidentals....

View over the lake very relaxing. Plenty of room in the lodge. Handyman who tended to the hot tub daily was friendly and helpful. Geese can be hand fed. Tesco and park and ride close by.

Railway behind the lodge noisy. Lack of enough cutlery and crockery meant washing up after every meal.
