Simpson's Forest - Luxury Boutique Resort & Spa - Kandy

Wonderful view - clean rooms - great naturist who took us on tour of the land and told us of the plants. No bugs which was very nice!

Pool is not heated. Unfortunately we came close after the landslides etc so most of the facilities were not open such as the nature pool and all advertised experiences in relation to it. Moon walk also not available. We booked the tea factory tour through the hotel for 50 dollar per person - suppose to be a 4 h excursion but it was 2 h in a car with no ac and then 45 min factory tour and 5 min tea tasting. The actual tea factory tour cost only 2000 rupees per person. The food was not what you would expect at a 5 star hotel - we feel like the breakfast for example was reused multiple days and food was served cold at a few instances.

The food was not good. Any restaurant is quite far away (the property if far from Kandy town). So you end up eating at the restaurant a lot. Also some of the facilities were not available (pool table) which they did not advertise.

It's the people who made our stay at Simpsons really exceptional - all thanks to Sacchini and the team. Simpsons is a 9/10 property on all aspects.

It takes 45 minutes to Kandy but the location is really scenic - so no complaints!

We stayed here for two nights, and while the weather did place some limits on what we could do, we still had a great time. The room was extremely comfortable, with good quality mattresses and bed linen. Stepping out we were met by magical lights through a mist-covered courtyard at dusk. You are about a 45 minute drive from the centre of Kandy, so this forges a closer connection with the place. The service was extremely friendly and professional, while the restaurant offered up a wonderful range of quality cuisine and a friendly singer-guitarist with a selection of local songs and acoustic evergreens. Walking around the property in the morning is a highly recommended experience, although the weather did not allow us to try the stunning infinity pool, with views out over plantation and jungle. Even with the weather not fully on our side, Simpsons Forest delivered comfort and excellent hospitality.

Le personnel est très accueillant et très à l’écoute. Les chambres très confortables. Les petits déjeuners et dîner sont très copieux et excellents. Et cerise sur le gâteau la piscine avec une vue 360 qui est magnifique !
