Chic Pet-Friendly Cottage, Fireplace, Wivenhoe

The cottage was easy to find- the light that came on over the door was a great help- and it was really well equipped- including lots of little extra hospitable touches. It felt luxurious with a strong regal theme throughout! The bed was very comfy. We loved the little gas stove in the lounge. We had no problem parking on the road close to the cottage. The communication with the hosts was clear and helpful.

The bathroom is downstairs and was a bit chilly (we did stay in December). We couldn't get the additional radiator in the bathroom (above the toilet) to work- that might have helped. Similarly, we were just about warm enough in the lounge with the gas stove on. We couldn't seem to change the thermostat. We only stayed two nights and if we had stayed longer, we would have contacted the hosts to check how the heating/thermostat worked. We are mainly flagging so they can maybe provide better instructions in the welcome pack. The stairs are very steep especially in the night!

Great location, very quiet area,owners very quick to respond to any queries prior to the trip.Also the house was excellently maintained and the beds were very comfortable 😀

One small niggle was the toilet area was very small,but that's a small issue considering how good it is overall.

The cottage was beautifully decorated with comfortable furnishings.

Would have preferred a small garden with grass instead of a yard.

All very clean and tidy. We liked the artwork on the walls.

No toilet upstairs.

The decor is witty and stylish. Facilities great - nespresso machine :) Clean, everything worked, nice white towels

Great location. Cottage is in very good (new) condition. Well equipped. Very comfortable and clean.

The property design is exquisite. The cottage is new and welcoming, it has all the comfort you can dream of. Amazing location, you can walk everywhere and if quiet and safe.
