The Hop Loft @ The Old Granary

Large, comfortable and very clean apartment, and very well equipped. It was really nice to be walking distance to everything we wanted to see in Rye

Very good location. Spacious. Kitchen very well equipped. TV & wi-fi very good. Parking very good.

Soundproofing: could hear people upstairs moving around, at 2am, 3am, 5am (otherwise, apart from trains at level crossing which was to be expected and only during daytime, apartment was very quiet). Lack of clothes storage in bedroom 2: hanging space but no drawers or shelves.

Spacious & light, bright accommodation. Great location for Rye High St.

The water in the en-suite shower was scalding hot & we couldn’t turn the temperature down in either…..all 4 of us experienced the same problem. Also the knob to change from bath to shower was stuck & so we couldn’t use the shower in that room without one of us grabbing a spoon from the kitchen & forcing the knob up!! When I contacted the owner, I was made to feel like the issue/fault had been with us & we didn’t know how to use a shower!! She did admit that the plumber was due to visit the property for a broken dial on the shower however so I’m very confused now! I asked about a partial refund to make up for the faulty shower but was told I had not used the shower correctly. Quite insulting considering I’ve stayed in hundreds of hotels worldwide for business trips & have never had problems working a shower, not to mention all 4 of us (adults) in the party having the same problem Disappointed with the response to my complaint.

Perfect location, lovely apartment, excellent facilities.

Entry instructions didn’t come until we were outside the door, maybe they could come the day before? We realise now that Wi- Fi is very slow there. The shower in the larger room could do with a refresh, very grimy sealant around the base. Mattress protectors would be good. After stripping the beds we noted the one in the larger room was quite stained.

It is a beautiful roomy apartment. Stunning decor , and your everyday needs catered for . Would definitely recommend.

The instructions were very thorough! Great that there was parking. Lovely touch to have a bottle of bubbly in the fridge.

I'm not sure how much difference it makes to a cleaner to strip the beds and take the rubbish down - if it does, I'd pay a few quid extra for that. It would be nice not to end the holiday on having to do chores (which we do all our lives ;D). The sound proofing isn't great - so we could hear upstairs movement very clearly, and of course the train.

It's a lovely, quiet place to stay and close to Rye High Street.
