Studio 1 Motel - Daytona Beach

This is our 3rd year in a row staying at Studio 1 for a Daytona trip. You cannot beat the morning sunrise view and easy beach access. Very comfortable amenities.

I love how clean your hotel is and that it is close to the beach, also that you had cable t.v. and fridge, micro, and a few dishes. Also, Patty the lady that lives there was very friendly and helpful and once I was able to reach management, she was very helpful also.

It was hard to reach someone to talk to at first about checking in and the cleaner smell in the room (fabuloso, I think) was a little over powering when I first walked into the room. But the room was nice and clean and I was so appreciative of that. So the staff was fine, I just couldn't reach anyone for a little bit. And just one more thing, some curtains on the bathroom window would be nice, for a little more privacy.

It was big.spacious. the GM lady was nice.the kitchen and porch were awesome. Accommodating to my visit to see my children who reside in Daytona. TV was great. Accommodating to my children being my guest white I was there

One staff member was rude I believe the cleaning lady. The weekly paying couple who lived down stairs was rude. Like we bothered them that we choose to start there. No vending. No pool. No beach access. Hard to climb stairs.

Pros: ------- Motel is descent and value for money. Our premium booked room was much better from inside than it actually looks from outside.Kitchen option was an added bonus. Location is very good & opposite to beach & 5-7 mins drive to Daytona beach boardwalk Cons: -------- Though not in big numbers but i would not like to have a single roach in my room specially with family, Yes we have to eliminate minimum 5 to 6 roaches in each of the rooms we stayed in. Also it adds the risk to cary roaches back to our homes. It should get addressed immediately. Checkin in was with a good delay due to less support onsite and not being very prompt. Even when we mailed/messaged beforehand letting them know our entry time, we didn't got any confirmation. Calling directly in the given number also never helped. It needs improvement.We have to call number of times and wait for a hour to get it sorted.

No one at office during the whole stay. Cockroaches windows looked like they hadn’t ever been cleaned( couldn’t see out of them)Beach access closed and was one of the reasons I booked here. No heads up about. I am disabled so it was quite an ordeal to get to the beach Just overall has gone downhill as I have stayed here previously 5 times

Arrived to the Facility, an hour after Check in, and there was no staff on site. Called the number multiple times that was left on the door of the office with no answer. Sat and waited in the parking lot for 30 min after we just drove 7 hours, and finally was given a code to get a key out of the key lock that was hanging on the door. Entered the room and it was abnormally warm. We turned the A/C down to try to cool the room off. The A/C did not work. I called and called and could not get any help. We slept 3 hot and sweaty nights before calling it quits and leaving our trip early. I was told that someone would be out tomorrow . Never happened and never had anyone check on anything. Finally got in touch with Management. They said they would refund me. Never did. Do not stay at this place. Ruined my only summer trip I got to take my boys on.

The rooms were very clean!

The manager wasn’t on site and I waited 45 min not knowing if I had a room.
