Communication was good with owner

Unfortunately we did not stay. On entering the property the smell was not nice at all. It smelt fousty and was worse in the lounge and kitchen making this an area we could not relax in. Other areas were much darker and didn't feel clean and still smelt. I would say this is better suited for stag doos rather than a family stay. We didn't feel comfortable staying so ended up having to pay for other accommodation.

Great location

Very spacious, beautifully furnished, lovely area with lots of shops nearby.

Did see a rat in the garden and heard them under the decking which was a little bit scary as I hate rats!

Location was in the city centre and fairly close to the beach, however the area is one of the most dodgy ones in Bournemouth. Every night there were some screams outdoors, weird/drugged people in every corner asking you random questions and we rather didn't feel safe there.

Let's start with this: IF YOU CHARGE PEOPLE FOR THE STAY - THE VERY LEAST I WOULD EXPECT IS TO CLEAN THE PLACE PROPERLY. (and get rid of the cat-size rats...) There were plenty of things that rather weren't great about our stay - the handle of the main door in one of the apartments was broken and it was falling off, the same regarding the fronts in the kitchen of the drawers in the kitchen. Therefore on one occastion as the handle fell off we got trapped inside the apartment. The kitchen was dirty, the kitche equipment was dirty - cups, plates, cutlery - we had to wash everything on arrival. Second day of stay I was looking for a pot and I found it in a cupboard - it was full of old oil and stinking as hell. In the bathroom the basin and bath were clean but when I opened the cupboard there was some rubbish, shelves were dirty and the same in the living room. The area near the main gate/entrance to the property was just full of rubbish, disgusting. It wasn't something gathered there overnight, there were bottles, cans, empty packs of crisps, cigarettes, plastic bags... it was just embarassing - we arrived with a group of international students and we had to be very apologetic about the conditions. We had called the host well in advance before our arrival and informed that we would arrive with students. We rented two apartments. Paid well over 2.5 k gbp for the week - we definitely expected something else. If someone had at least cleaned properly it would have been much better, but having conditions like that, well - it's more of a scam if you pay a lot and have to do the deep cleaning of the bloody place on your arrival because you are just embarassed in front your students. One last thing - in the front yard - there's a huge rat living there, size of a small cat really. Makes a lot of noise at night. Don't leave any rubbish outdoors because it will just make a huge mess everywhere.

Only small criticism we had is that the Darts Board could do with being replaced.

Great layout, perfect location, very nice bathroom, easy to access.

There was little black hairs throughout the property and sone of the unit tops weren’t cleaned very well.

It wasn’t clean , oven was filthy could not cook , mould inside cupboards

The place is in a great location for shops, bars and the beach. The lounge and kitchen are a great space to get together. Plenty of plates/glasses/mugs etc. The outside space is good although we didn't really use it as it was December.

This is not a criticism at all but more feedback. There was a small selection of cooking utensils and no knives other than the knives and forks. We could have done with a couple of sharp knives for bread and fruit / cheese etc and it would be worth mentioning that a tea towel for drying dishes isn't provided.
