The Alma Taverns Boutique Suites - Room 3 - Hopewell

Reservamos el hotel con algunas dudas, pero fue todo lo contrario. La habitación es muy linda; no es muy grande, pero suficiente para dejar las valijas (en nuestro caso carry on) y moverse cómodamente. La cama es cómoda y el agua caliente funciona perfecto. Si bien está un poco alejado, el bus pasa por la esquina, lo cual lo hace muy práctico. Abajo hay un bar que puede ser algo ruidoso, pero alrededor de las 23 ya está tranquilo. A destacar: el personal del bar fue siempre súper atento, predispuesto y amable.

The TV didn't work nor did the main light.

This was a lovely room (with private bathroom) to stay in. Nicely decorated plus comfy bed. Unlimited bottles of water, ground coffee, tea & oat milk were provided, which was a nice touch. It’s walking distance to Clifton Down rail station and lots of independent bars & shops in the Cotham Hill area.

It’s above a pub and theatre, which I thought fine (and the pub was nice) but be prepared for it to be noisy outside until 11pm-ish. I expected this though and wasn’t too bothered.

The team were so accommodating and friendly!

The location was really good for my purposes, and on a lovely street. I thought the breakfast bar was impressive, and the venue was incredibly generous with tea and coffee provision both in the room and in the communal area. The TV was good with a good amount of channels. I liked the open window and the view, and the toilet provisions. I was also pleasantly surprised that they supplied an ironing board.

The only issues I had was a) the sound of people at the bar late at night, starting with punters but extending to the staff shutting up quite late (and quite loudly - calling across the street to each other); and b) other guests coming back in the middle of the night and speaking in the room next door as if it was the middle of the day. It was a good job I had my wax earplugs - I had an important presentation to give the next morning! And c), it was an unusually hot weather, but there was no fan and no AC.
