The Alma Taverns Boutique Suites - Room 3 - Hopewell

I loved the friendly staff and the attempt at 50s style/vintage decor. The bathroom was clean and modern. There was a breakfast and tea corner outside of the room.

The furniture and especially the carpet were really tired and stained, they are due an upgrade. The air in the room was very stuffy, it needs to be aired more regularly. The sheets were clearly freshly washed, but they had some longstanding stains. There was no wardrobe in the room, although there was a clothing rack.

It was a lovely stay, central to Clifton and town centre. Comfortable room with a little food station at the end of the corridor to have cereal if you wanted for breakfast. We had a Sunday dinner down stairs in the bar area which was absolutely delicious. The staff were very kind and helpful. We stayed two nights. On Sunday there was a singer which was a plus.

There are a lot of steep stairs to get to our room but we only did it once or twice a day.

Location, staff and room itself were all lovely. Bathroom was great with great water pressure.

Seeing the fact that the pillows and duvet without the covers were covered in brown/yellow marks/stains. Not the most pleasant thing to see after you’ve just slept in them.
