I would just suggest maybe having a welcome pack for guests with the closest shops/takeaways.

Maybe a mirror in the bedroom for brushing hair etc but that really is a very minor point and did not in any anyway spoil the visit

Property was exactly as on pictures, very clean and cosy, comfortable and my kids really enjoyed stay

Great place, nicely set out. Relaxing place to be.

Nothing to dislike

Location was lovely, really quiet village about 15 minutes out of Harrogate. Property was quaint and cosy.

A few areas in the property could do with a better clean and there were quite a few cobwebs/spiders hanging around

Things we didn't like: 1. Was without hot water for heating/showering for 1.5 days of our stay due to boiler breakdown. Sinks not provided with plugs to retain water, so unable to wash. Took two engineer visits to fix it. Having packed our bags, we were about to cut our stay short when the 2nd engineer arrived and let him in. Half a day wasted to determine whether he could fix it and if we could stay. The hosts efforts to arrange a fix were appreciated but no one should be paying full price for such a cottage experience and lose holiday time trying to deal with it (half a day with engineer and a drive to the nearest town to find a hardware store for a sink plug). 2. Unlockable porch. 3. Tiny yard (nice view of neighbouring garden/field though). 4. Poor wiring (several lights not working/flickering) 5. Loads of cobwebs 6. Fridge temperature setting stuck such that fresh fruit, salad items and vegetables were spoiled (semi-frozen) 7. No Freeview TV (Netflix only (I should have read the small print)) 8. Unwillingness of the host to provide partial refund for lack of heating/hot water (host did offer extra day stay but unable to take this up due to needing to be back at work, breakfast offered at local pub declined as compensation). Feel very let down. You work hard for your holidays and hiring a cottage should be a memorable experience for all the right reasons.

What a super cute cottage loads of space in property . Very clean , beautiful village very quiet at night . Great pub within walking distance local deli in village has wonderful home baked and fresh produce . River walks , day trips to Harrogate and York . Great value for our family would highly recommend
