Bicester Hotel, Golf & Spa

I really enjoyed my stay overall. The hotel was very clean and well maintained, and most of the staff were friendly and welcoming. The spa area was especially nice — very relaxing and a great part of the experience. The grounds were also clean, spacious, and well looked after, which made the stay feel calm and enjoyable.

There were a few issues with communication and information. The breakfast times were confusing — the TV in our room stated that on weekends and bank holidays breakfast was until 10:30, but when we arrived just before 10, we were told it finished at 10. As we stayed during a bank holiday, this wasn’t clear. Although staff did check and made us breakfast, the information should have been consistent. We also had difficulty booking the driving range, as we were sent between locations and there was no staff available to assist, so we couldn’t get booked in. Additionally, one member of staff at breakfast came across as quite rude and unwelcoming, which was disappointing compared to the rest of the team.

Nothing really car park had an electric charger

Food was really bad, facilities have an unpleasant smell, we had to eat in bar as we have a little dog not allowed in the restaurant. Bar was ok pretty standard for a golf club or sports club. However, food was not good and very expensive. I ordered a supergreen salad, with tofu, cost 17 pounds. Was dry quinoa with 2 pieces of brocoli and over fried tofu, no dressing sauce or fresh vegetables tasteless. Explained to bar staff, they said they would speak to chef but never returned. Also ordered fish and chips which was ok, supermarket deep freezer section standard, at 20 pounds pretty steep. We were unable to use the pool as they have very restrictive times for children to swim.
