⭐ 1-Star Review – Very Disappointing and Distressing Stay We stayed at 101 Bold Street Apartments for my cousin’s 30th birthday, booking two apartments — one for 10 people and one for 7 people. Unfortunately, from arrival to departure, the experience was extremely disappointing and upsetting. When we arrived, we were met by a man who showed us to the apartments. Immediately, it was clear that the apartments were misadvertised, as they did not match the photos shown on the booking site. Upon entering the apartments, cleanliness was a serious issue. There was pubic hair left on the toilets, sinks were in an unacceptable condition, and there were no cleaning essentials provided at all, such as disinfectant spray, to clean the toilets or surfaces ourselves. There was dirt ingrained under the beds and around the bed frames near the mattresses. The bedsheets appeared as though they had already been slept in by previous guests. On top of this, the apartments had an unpleasant smell throughout our entire stay. There were also not enough towels provided for the number of guests. When we arrived, there was even a towel hanging over a door drying, which was completely unacceptable and clearly suggested it had not been properly washed. Additionally, there was not enough toilet roll provided, and we were forced to go out and buy our own on the first day. When we raised these issues, the man dealing with us was abrupt, rude, and unhelpful. At checkout, his behaviour became intimidating. I mentioned the possibility of a tip considering the poor cleanliness, to which he responded aggressively: “I don’t need any of your tips. Look at my bank account and look at yours.” This was completely inappropriate and unprofessional. We paid a £650 deposit, which was only returned today, and £60 was missing.
