Coco Lounge- Central Bham, O/R Parking & Balcony

Great location close to the theatre we went to and the amenities were good. I’m afraid the rest was disappointing

Confusion over parking at first they didn’t let us there and then we weren’t sure where we could park. The lift was out of order which we weren’t aware of 4 people with luggage taking two sets of stairs. The property looked ok but it was not clean at all we had to wash all the pots and the shower was quite dirty and water flooded everywhere. The double bed didn’t fit two adults well so we used the sofa bed and it was not comfy at all. We wouldn’t book this again.

The location is excellent, near restaurants, shops and train stations. The parking was very easy to find. The apartment rooms are large sizes, and with onsite security, we felt very safe.

The floor needed a mop. Just a little more attention on the cleaning but a great place to stay.

Brilliant location.

Some tea towels for the kitchen would be a good idea. We hadn't got anything other than blue roll to dry the pots and plates we used, and some oven gloves, as we couldn't get the baking tray out of the oven. Also would of been handy to have an additional set of keys. As we found it difficult coordinating with our friends comings and goings.

Fantastic well located property for the O2 Academy, well equipped, very clean. Great selection of restaurants nearby in Chinatown as well as Asian supermarkets, Bullring , markets and Birmingham new street station. Highly recommended. Easily accessible and great communication. Also has parking although not needed.

Only small issue was lift was broken so a few flights of stairs to climb which was a bit difficult as I have mobility issues.

The apartment is nice and spacious and conveniently located for the Arcadia and Bullring shopping centres

For the price we paid - £200 for a night for 2 adults and 2 children we were expecting quality and comfort but we were disappointed. Firstly the lighting - there was a bulb out in the bathroom ceiling and the light above the mirror didn’t work - it was very dark. There are no lamps in the living area meaning the only option for light is to keep the 2 main ceiling lights on which is very bright and not cosy. The kitchen hood and light didn’t work. There are some battery powered candles in the dining room and bathroom but you guessed it - don’t work. The heater in the dining/living room didn’t work so it was cold in that area for my son who was sleeping on the sofa (which he tells me was very hard). The bed in the main bedroom is not a double - it’s a large single which is okay for us as we are quite short but it would be a struggle to fit 2 large adults comfortably. In terms of cleanliness - it was mostly acceptable although we did find a cup with coffee still in it in the cupboard so we did wash up all of the cups before we used them. The communal areas are very smelly with people cooking in other flats but we didn’t find it noisy. Finally the parking - this is great and so close to the apartment. However, we did a bit of shopping after we checked out and exited the car park at 4.30pm. As you only get the paid parking until 12noon we went on the app and were told we had to pay £9 for the additional time. It transpires we were charged £44 by the parking company. My husband’s now having to challenge this. This is not a luxury apartment as it makes out - it does need a bit of love and attention especially to fix all of the broken lights and heater.
