The Hosts were so accommodating and engaging and their helpful advice provided us with an outstanding experience for the duration of our stay. They really are two of the nicest people you could ever wish to meet. On this basis alone we have since made the decision to stage an annual stay here. The location is exceptional for a multitude of reasons with local amenities at hand and a short walk to the more boisterous area of Bowness, thusly you can wander down to the tourist areas in no time, but escape back to peace & quiet to relax. The rooms are clean and cosy, and the breakfasts are most delectable. Breakfasts are staggered between guests to allow for the perfect cook for each room individually which makes a great deal of sense. I took my partner Katie for a short break somewhere picturesque and peaceful; little did she know I had an ulterior motive; I intended to find the opportunity to ask her to marry me. This stay made all of that possible and set such a comfortable and relaxed scene for us to unwind and I could not have sought any better in any corner of the land. I haven't the time nor compulsion to explain all of the exceptional qualities of this guest house and its hosts; but rather the compulsion to offer my entire recommendation and allow you to find out some of the nuances for yourself. You shalln't be disappointed at all. Wish we could have sourced childcare for even just one more night; we did not want to leave. Anthony & Katie. PS/ She said yes.

It was so homely, liz and graham made us feel right at home and were really informative about the area. They made recommendations of walks local to us and gave us directions and information packs, we did all of the walks recommended and they did not disappoint. The breakfast was lovely, and coming down of a morning for a chat with Liz and Graham was a highlight. Such a friendly couple! The rooms were really clean and the amenities were great, they asked us regularly if we had everything we needed. It was the perfect place to stay for our weekend away. Thank you so much, we will definitely be returning ☺️

It was the most wonderful stay. Liz and Graham are so hospitality and warm. Liz recommended some nice walks in Lake District and we were satisfied by the stunning views. The room is super clean, neat and lovely, and the breakfast is awesome and delicious. The house is near from Windermere station, only takes about 10 min walks, nevertheless it is rather in a quiet place so we all had good sleep. Theres also cookies and tea and coffee served in room, and also provides water boiler.(very convenient) Thanks for Liz and Graham letting us to have a great memory in UK.

Liz and Graham were truly exceptional hosts throughout our stay, who went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable at all times. I particularly liked the little touches throughout the weekend which made us feel very much at home, such as being greeted upon arrival (despite us arriving quite late, out of hours) with a pot of tea. The room looked exactly as the photos indicated and all the facilities were top notch. Both hosts were always on hand to give us the benefit of their local knowledge in terms of things to do for the day and I found them to be very personable and down to earth at all times. It's also worth mentioning that the breakfasts were truly exceptional as well. This place really was a joy all round! If you're looking to stay in Winderemere and this place is available, I promise you won't go wrong booking a stay here!

The property was well positioned close to shops and restaurants. Our room was recently renovated and felt modern and comfortable. The off street parking was a bonus and always nice security when you have a rental car. Our hosts were lovely and did everything possible to make sure we enjoyed our stay.

Both Liz and Graham were so friendly and welcoming. The room we stayed in was very comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. We were given a choice of times for breakfast, which was cooked to perfection. Would highly recommend. Thank you for a lovely stay.
