The Rock House - Terrace Apartment - in Heart of the City

Plenty of Space, Very Warm and Cosy, Good security though the doors and gate were a bit stiff. Great facilities,

Wooden floor board splintered and got stuck to my foot.

Then location of this property is amazing, quietly tucked away you wouldn't realise that you are in the centre of Edinburgh. A 2 minute walk from the station and easily accessible for all the shops and attractions. The apartment has everything you need and more, would love to return

Location was great, house was spotless inside and really comfortable.

Really enjoyed it all, the only slight negative is that noise travels loudly from the apartment above - you can hear every step and even talking but didn’t overly annoy us.

Not enough kitchen equipment- we couldn’t cook a full meal, eg no grill tray to grill sausages & bacon for breakfast. The coating in the bathroom sink was cracked & peeling which meant it was unhygienic as it couldn’t be thoroughly cleaned. Light bulbs weren’t working in open plan living space. No enough mirrors for getting ready. Loud guests in flat above us

Amazing place, the write up was confusing, I paid for what I thought was a 3 bedroom place, but wasn't, it didn't matter that much in the end though, the main issue is the noise from above, totally understand the age of the building, and the noise wasn't the fault of the owners, the visitors upstairs clearly had clogs on, or shoes anyway! Children running the length of the place, which ok... We can ignore, but banging doors and cupboards was deliberate, I did message the owner, but not really taken that seriously, banging doors and cupboards aren't in with the reason of the age of the property, I tried to close a door heavily, just to see if it was accidental, but I had to really pull on the door forcefully in order to make it BANG! Again, this is not the owners fault, but I do think that maybe visitors are asked to be a bit more conscious of other visitors, I had 2 teenage grandsons with me, 1 ADHD the other autistic, so the noise was a bit much, other than that, beautiful place

Absolutely beautiful and historical apartment. If you're into photography you need to stay here - It was once David Octavius Hill's home. Perfectly located yet very private. Also features the world's best bathtub!

Had a little trouble locating the keypad to the gate, but if you have any trouble Marco is only a phonecall away and is very helpful.

Excellent accommodation! Close to the Royal Mile. Comes with all of the facilities including a washing machine which was great.

There was lots of stairs to get up to the property which was challenging with luggage.

Stylish apartment furnished perfectly for its era in a ideal part of the city where all the main attractions are walkable by the most beautiful park

The property was beautiful and close to the train station and not too far from popular Edinburgh attractions. I love the old feel of the house and the garden to sit in. I appreciated the security of the place with the gate and door codes for easy access and no dealing with keys. Marco was always really helpful with any questions I had.

The carpet is a little uncomfortable and so were some of the beds. Otherwise it was great.
