The Rock House - Terrace Apartment - in Heart of the City

Excellent location, very central yet quiet. Lovely old building, beautifully restored. Good combination of period furniture and modern equipment.

No proper guide to the house - we couldn't find how to adjust the heating, or instructions for the dishwasher. Countless previous reviews have drawn attention to the shortage of mirrors in the house, but nothing has been done to address this.

Poor heating and water pressure

This apartment was not only tucked away in plain view, it was located in a central location. We were near many spots on our list to visit. The apartment had so much character AND was comfortable. I would stay there again and have already recommended to friends that will be visiting the area!

Loved that there was a door and gate key emailed to me the day before. So easy without needing to track down a key! Lots of privacy because in gated area. People kept wondering how to get up to where we were because it looked so cool. Host was excellent and very responsive. Internet went out, and he was there to reset router within 30 minutes. Turned out to be a larger provider issue, and he had them out ASAP. Overall, felt like we were staying in a bit of history. Made the trip special.

Probably the worst part is that we had to leave. There was nothing we didn't like. Note: Two sets of steps to get up to the house. Not really an issue for our group but should be noted if someone has mobility issues.
