Excellent location. Comfortable, nicely decorated property with interesting history. Well-managed.

Not a major issue but there was full-length mirror or any mirrors in the bedrooms and bathroom mirror not great.

Just exactly my type of place! All necessities and historical integrity. I will come back and stay in the summer! My husband had to work from home via the wifi, so it worked great. Perfect location!

The only negative would be the septic is old and the smells can seep up the toilet. But if you leave a little water in the toilet it stops it. Otherwise, just wonderful!

Agree with the other reviews. The apartment is very well located and had everything (other than mirrors!) that we needed for our stay.

Noise! The area is quiet and I preface this by saying we may just have been unlucky, but the apartment is the downstairs of an old house, with the upstairs rented separately. We could hear EVERYTHING (and I mean everything - not what you need when you have children!) from upstairs. The people there seemed to be having a party, and genuinely did not seem to sleep or ever stop moving around. So sad as otherwise it would have been a fantastic place.

"Too much noise from flat above and soft bed means we won’t return"

Beautiful cottage, great location. Lovely sitting room and kitchen

The postbox doesn’t shut so a big draft from the front door, the double bed was so soft we didn’t sleep for 5 nights. The people upstairs woke us and kept us awake with their footsteps, voices and general noise.

The history, sympathetic refurbishment,great setting, proximity to princes street & tourist attractions,

It was quite hard to find in the dark. It is up some stairs and is not next to number 26. You have to go around the corner. Could do with a mirror.

Location, comfortable beds and sofas. Good quality linens.

Required some “touching up “ paintwork and tiles in shower and around bath. All easy things. Lack of mirrors. Disappointingly we could see that others have regularly mentioned these things. If the owners would like feedback perhaps they could act on it.
