Nice view and friendly staff. Equidistant from Vanilla beach and the town of El Nido

There were some bugs in the room and the bathroom towels were made of a weird plush material

The room is big and it has a wonderful view from the balcony. Reception is open 24/7 and the staff is nice and accommodating. We arrived earlier than our check-in time on a rainy day and the staff rushed to make our room ready for us to be able to check in immediately.

The bathroom was leaking so we unfortunately had to live with a constantly wet floor in the bathroom which was a bit annoying, but manageable. Some of the common areas need renovations and because of the heavy rains that characterized some of the days during our stay those little defects were more evident.

Staff are nice. I think that's the only good thing about it. Pretty average breakfast. Same every day, but it's free.

1. The stairs to our room are shocking. If you carry heavy luggage or with the elderly, it's definitely a challenge. Staff were nice tho. They helped to carry all the luggage upstairs. I just felt bad cuz I had a heavy suitcase. 2. The room was depressing. It had this mysterious damp smell in bed but i couldn't find the source. Bathroom floor was always wet and there was no way to clear the water on the floor after shower. Walking in and out the bathroom made the whole room wet and dirty. Bathroom itself looked dirty too. The stay made me want to go home every day while I'm on holiday!!! 3. The room was always hot. Only got a bit cool breeze if you stay right in front of the AC. I didn't have a single night good sleep.

The hostel is located a little outside of El Nido Proper, but just a short tricycle away from the center. The staff was friendly and welcoming as were the cats ;)

For the price paid, one would expect a nice little hostel with some amenities. Unfortunately, this was not the case. Half of the property looks like a building site and the bathroom was smelly and always damp, as the whole bathroom got flooded everytime you showered. There was no hand-soap provided and the water pressure was very weak.

I enjoyed my stay at Pukka Hostel. The staff were very kind accommodating and friendly. The Cook prepared delicious breakfast every morning 😋😊👍

Decent location, liked the chill/eating area, nice big beds. Two person room, 1 bunk. Good if you are with one other person you know but slightly weird it not. Free breakfast was good, decent place for dinner beside it.

Not sure they changed the sheet between people? No water refills unfortunately and a pretty nasty bathroom but definitely not the worst I’ve seen in sea. Not sure it was worth paying 100 cad for 3 nights. Slightly farther from town.
