Friendly clean and comfortable. Great location

Die Lage direkt am Hafen und sehr zentral der Innenstadt, gutes Pubessen ( Montag bis Donnerstag zwei Hauptgerichte für 20 Pfund), freundliches Personal, schöner Biergarten. Großes Bad und unser Zimmer hatte einen traumhaften Ausblick auf das Wasser.

Die Parkplatzsituation. Es gibt praktisch gar keine Langzeitparkplätze in der Nähe, nur einen, bei dem man aber länger gehen muss und der 8,50 Pfund pro Tag kostet. Zum Glück haben wir per Zufall in einem Wohngebiet noch eine Parkmöglichkeit gefunden. War aber auch ein Stück zu gehen. Zum Entladen des Gepäcks kann man aber vor dem Pub parken. Das Bett war recht klein.

Conveniently close to a bus stop (100m max) and 5-8 mins walk to the train station. Friendly staff, clean room with a lovely view. Nicely renovated bathroom.

In good weather it can get noisy in the evenings as there are 2 neighbouring beer gardens at the back and no noise isolation in the room (old windows). Would have been nice to have a small fridge in the room to keep drinks and snacks fresh, but it’s not a deal breaker :-) Although it was not a problem for me personally, this property would not be suitable for people with mobility issues due to the narrow stairway.

The food in the pub was great, we loved the location, there was also so much to do especially with the castle being so close.
