location was good, however the area was not very nice, & made you feel a little unsafe, there are a lot of run down old buildings that look like they are going through redevelopment, therefore a lot building works in surrounding area

Good location, very clean, very spacious, having the high ceilings meant it was difficult to hear noise from the other rooms in the house, downstairs loo & ensuite in both bedrooms was great. The side street is quite quiet but there are other rental apparentments and we had a few people coming & going for a 21st bday party. Luckily they weren't noisy late on. Suited our needs for an overnight stay with friends and also appreciated the later checkout time having small children. We got a takeaway and the delivery driver struggled to find it as it's a new build, so make a note that it is off Camden street if ordering in food. The hosts were very helpful in sending location information in advance and we found it fine.

Incorrect door code sent on email, had been out awaiting the code and had to go via booking.com to find out another code had been posted in the message chat. Hadn't received this on email or checked given I'd got the email clearly stating use this door code. The property has single pane sash windows which made it sound like a window was always open and quite cold, although wall heaters are in place, they took a while to warm the high ceiling rooms. One bedroom had no blinds but curtains, the other curtains but no blinds. Would be better to have both to help block out some of the noise/cold. Some of the ornaments and a light fitting in the kitchen were broken - we had small children with us and moved everything out of their way to prevent any breakages but unsure why a broken ornament was clearly put back on a display unit. There was not enough towels or bedding to make up the sofa beds. Also limited plates/bowls which made it difficult for us all to eat at the same time. (Also no dining table, which was fine for us but may be an issue if you have 4+ adults.) The parking information in the message sent is out of date - on street parking not free at all times / very limited, paid car parks further away than expected and one was closed. Shower was VERY hot and difficult to regulate, couldn't get it to a suitable temperature to use on the children. Also the way the door opened, you had to get in to switch it on/off. Shame as the facilitiues provided were very good.

Nothing. The property stank of weed. The kitchen floor was sticky, clearly aftermath of spilled drinks and an insufficient clean. We went upstairs, the bed collapsed. We slept on the floor.

On arrival the property was freezing cold. The electric heaters were impossible to work out how to use. The owner sent a pdf instruction manual by WhatsApp but it was for a slightly different model. When we still unable to get warm he promised his maintenance man would get in touch to sort. The maintenance man sent the same PDF. They wanted to do everything by WhatsApp and we had a prebooked restaurant for my partner’s birthday so impossible to text. The next day we were awoken by the maintenance man knocking on our bedroom door - he’d let himself in and scaled the two flights of stairs. He’d fixed the issue but we were too tired to really take it in. When we woke up we saw the double bed was “dipping” in the middle. On inspection a slat was missing and 5 others had been previously and badly repaired. We reslotted the slats - we didn’t have the energy to complain as the heating issue was a fiasco. We took photographs. After our booking ended we received a damage request for £43. We declined as we were not responsible for the pre existing damage. There was no access to WiFi as the password was incorrect - we just used our mobile hotspot to use the tv. The property looks nice on pictures and is very modern… but done on the cheap.
