Helens Lybster cosy cottage on NC500

Everything was perfect.

The host is super nice. She gave us lots of recommendations (for eating, places to visit...). She also brought milk and solved all our doubts.

It was a cold evening and it took a while for the house to warm up, but this is a minor comment.

Helens a brilliant host and made us feel so homely. Cottage was so comfortable and clean, great stop with everything provided. Would definitely book again if we return to John ogroats. Thank you Helen x

Beautifully appointed, one bedroom apartment with everything you could ask for. Exceptionally clean and cosy in a quiet town on the east coast. Hosts were exceptional in communication, directions and assistance. A great place to base yourself for a few nights to explore the north east coast. Highly recommend.

It was a spacious, immaculately clean, comfortable, beautifully decorated, and well-appointed apartment…all the electrics were clearly labeled with instructions, so we knew how the hot water, heating, etc, worked. The little book about the apartment and the area was totally positive…it told us the things to do in any situation, instead of being a list of “don’t do this, don’t do that”. The proprietress met us there and got our time there in Lybster off to a wonderful start with her warm and friendly welcome. I know this review may seem so perfect that it sounds fake, but it really was THAT good. A great deal of thought had been given to the supplying and design of this place; the biscuits in the tin, little touches like the makeup mirror on the bedroom dresser, extra blankets in the living room as well as the bedroom, quality hangers for our clothes in the bedroom.

What didn’t we like? We had to leave this morning because of our onward travel plans! Truly, there was nothing to dislike.

Helen responded straight away when we hit travel issues. She met us at the house and showed how the heating and shower worked and was very open and friendly. The kitchen is fully stocked with all amenities and there was fresh milk in the fridge and biscuits for our tea. The bed was comfortable.

The flat is the ground floor and the guests above were noisy until quite late. That can't be helped though!
