This is what you call « hospitality »! The room was perfect for a couple with a great view on the village and the sea. Erika and Aldo were superhosts as they met us at the train station and ensured a smooth check-in and check-out. They even left welcome drinks and food. Via dell'Amore is now open and is a must at sunset. You can take it from Riomaggiore going to Manarola. As you stay in Riomaggiore, you can come back anytime from Manarola as well. Hosts were helpful to provide details on it.

We really enjoyed our stay.Everything was so good: the location, the room and especially the terrace, it was our favorite spot. The hosts were so friendly, very responsive and generous. Erica and her father were very nice and met us at the station to help us with the luggage. And we also find a bunch of welcome snacks in the room. I highly recommend the place if you are planning to stay at Riomaggiore.

Accommodation was great. Host met us at the train station to help with our bags and take us to the apartment. Host was accessable via Whatsapp and gave us a heads up on a train strike so we could make alternate transportation plans if needed. Apartment was very clean and cleaned half way through out stay (we stayed 4 nights). Bed was comfortable and terrace was awesome with a great view. We stayed here during the summer and AC kept the room nice and cool. Mini fridge was stocked with welcome drinks and there was a coffee maker with some pods provided. Also local information including ferry schedule, trail maps, etc was great to have for reference. We didn't need to do laundry during our stay but there was a laundromat a block away which is convenient. Would definitely stay here again.

Everything was amazing. Before arriving and during our stay communication with Erika was easy and excellent, through WhatsApp. Erika’s father Aldo was so kind and friendly - he helped us with our cases from the train station and up the stairs of Sotto Sale, gave us a time tour of the town on the way, told us some good restaurants and things to do and even shared some of his home made wine with us from grapes grown on his land. The room is excellent. It is so modern, clean and the location is central but not too loud or busy. The terrace is beautiful and has a lovely view over the street. On arrival there was a fridge filled with drinks (prosecco, juices and water etc), nespresso machine and snacks which were amazing to have and such a nice touch. There were beach towels, slippers, toiletries as well as a bottle opener, wine glasses and other kitchen items. We couldn’t recommend Sotto Sale enough, it is an absolute gem in a beautiful town and we cannot wait to visit again.
