Host & Stay - The Georgian Townhouse

Location was good, space in the property was great.

Only one key was provided for the front door, a key which was needed to get in AND to get out. With six adults in the house our comings and goings were restricted. After a night out, someone had to stay up to let latecomers in. The last person to leave the house with the key had to be the first person to return. This was logistically quite complicated and could have been avoided had spare keys been provided as mentioned in the house guide. The house guide was a generic document with little or incorrect information eg reference to spare keys and parking permit neither of which were provided. The house guide made claims about green initiatives but there was no information about how to recycle. The Wifi password did not work. This was mentioned by the previous occupants & had not been addressed. There were too many emails. Given the price of the property the unexpected charges for a damage deposit felt a rip-off.

Beautiful location and spacious property with a lovely little garden and some lovely features

We had no WiFi at the property during our stay. This was reported on the first day but not resolved. Some of the pillows could do with being replaced as they were very lumpy and not comfortable. The key was accessed at a shop which was a bit of an inconvenience really a lock box at property would’ve made check in and check out easier for us.

Brilliant location, and spacious accommodation..

Easy chairs and sofas too low and/or too deep for most of the party. The back door to the garden was not in use, which made the garden inaccessible to 2 of the party as the steps were steep and no handrail. We were a family group of 5, staying for 5 nights. There was only 1 key to the property, which was a nuisance. There was no hot water in the kitchen when we arrived. Reported the following morning, but this was not sorted before we left. We had no hot water in the house for the last 2 days - didn't bother reporting as we were busy and maintenance had not been to look at the downstairs boiler.

The location was excellent. The property has great character.

The key collection was a pain, there was no spare key, so only 1 key between 7 of us. There was a lack of glassware, only 1 pint glass and 1 tumbler in the whole property. The “hot” water was lukewarm at best.

Location was great and the property was very large which was perfect for the size of our group.

No parking permit offered and the house was very cold on arrival.

Needs a good clean Bathroom toilet leaks Downstairs bathroom smelt damp & needs a good clean Boiler not working correctly, possibly unsafe Water leaks in from hall bathroom smelt damp
