J06 Warren Retreat

Our stay in J06 Dawlish Warren was just what we needed as a family. The caravan itself was clean and tidy and even provided some basics (tea coffee sugar cleaning products bedding and hamd towels) which was very handy as meant we didn't need to overload our vehicle. There was 5 of us and we had ample room within the caravan and found it extremely comfortable. The double bed was especially comfortable and the bedding was so soft! The site itself was close enough to amenities that we was easily able to get what we needed and also had some nice days out at the local beaches. The hosts were easy to get hold of although we had no issues when there so didn't need to make further contact once we arrived. The wifi was an advantage and we was able to connect to our Netflix and Disney Plus accounts as well as the kids being able to use their devices of an evening. I honestly can't fault our experience.

We wasnt able to make use of the on site swimming pool as i was unsure how to go about this but this is not the fault of the host!

The property was perfect!!! Spotlessly clean and has everything we needed for our stay.

Caravan was clean welcoming and ready for use. More spacious than expected. Bedding/ hand towels/ hand soap/ washing up liquid provided. Little things but thoughtful. Location was convenient for us visiting friends in the area. Access to indoor pool (small extra cost)

Everything was fine. You could heat the mainline trains a little - but otherwise the site was very quiet whilst we were there.

It was fairly large given it was a caravan. Multiple bedrooms - one double, two children’s single beds in another room and a further adult single in another individual room (looked like it could have pulled out to a double). Spacious kitchen, individual toilet as well as another toilet with decent sized shower and hot running water. Living space was good, dining table small but sufficient. All dining ware looked new, and it was clean when we arrived. The caravan is equipt with multiple electric heaters, so you will not feel cold during your stay. There entertainment facilities and a pool onsite, but we didn’t use them.

The boiler kept switching itself off - so, restarting it took quite some time. The owners were quick to respond though, and between Nathan and I, we managed to get it working again. I had to turn it on several times during our short stay, but, I’m aware they had recently had it serviced or a part replaced, so this evidently was causing the problem. Once on, the water was super hot - shower was beautifully warm! Small niggle - the bed linen in the double room was super cheap and did not feel like cotton. Given how nice the caravan is, and how warm it gets, some breathable linen on the bed would add a bit of luxury. Give you have such good heaters in the caravan, would an electric towel rail be useful in the bathroom? There is no where to dry our towels after showers, wondered if this could be useful? Alternatively, an electric clothes rack to drying your towels on? We arrived when it was pitch black, and it took us a while to locate the caravan - perhaps a little map, or a bigger sign for your caravan to make it easier to locate? The caravans, even in broad daylight, seem to run in no logical order!

Great location great for the family or for a quiet weekend
