Hôtel du Lion d'Or

We were given a room with the living area and bathroom on the bottom and the bedroom up in a loft. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and large. Kept banging the had on the very low loft ceiling. A fabulous breakfast and secure storage for our bicycles.

The Wi-Fi did not really work, only a 1.5mbps speed. The room was located in a block of rooms around 100m seperate from the hotel. Needed umbrellas to walk to breakfast. There was only one paper cup in the room, so we went out and bought some more. We asked for more toilet paper in the morning, spent the day sightseeing, upon our return, the bins had not been emptied and still no toilet paper. Tried calling reception on their phone but could not connect. Sent a message via Booking.com and they responded, as it was poring with rain.. The lounge was stained and very uncomfortable

Never told about breakfast, receptionist just that nothing more or less.

Big bed and a/c is all we needed :) .

Breakfast was plentiful with choices

Would prefer fresh croissants and juice not watered down
