Prime location at Mt Eden- Cozy Vibe 3BR Home

The pukeko that would visit us each kor ing was really cool. Location was good for everything we wanted to do.

The place smelt REALLY bad like food gone bad and this other off smell. It needed a full clean. The floorboards in the kitchen were soft and felt like you were going to fall through them. The neighbours on the right hand side were very loud to the point their music bass vibrated the home. Also, having to wait an extra 2 hours for the home to be 'ready' as they must not have had an extra key to open the home as the previous people locked the keys inside was not good enough also. When leaving a voicemail and email about the smell etc wasnt answered and instead two (what seemed like automated emails) were sent to me that were irrelevant to my voicemail or email is not OK! Unfortunately, we will not be back ever again.

However, since you kindly asked for feedback, I’ll share our experience with care and sincerity. It seems many issues noted by earlier occupants remain unresolved. There were several things in the house that didn’t function properly — even the wall clock was stuck, ticking away at the same number like it was having a stroke episode. While quirky, it also reflected a broader sense of neglect. I understand how challenging it is to run a business, especially one involving property maintenance. But investing in your accommodation — even small fixes — signals care and pride, and ultimately brings more value back to you. Letting things slide too long risks bigger problems down the line. We went there for a rugby game at Eden Park. The bus stop is in walking distance and it’s a quiet neighbourhood. It was convenient.

The place is dated with old carpet in the bedrooms. No kitchen ustensiles, very few plates and glasses. The washing machine didn’t work properly. The bins were already full when we arrived. You have to guess that the key opens the door at the back of the house not the front door.

Clear communication. Nice warm home.

Oven didn't get hot enough to cook in and no cutting board. Beds a bit too soft.
