Just trying to find it as we arrived after it was dark and most of the lodges don’t have numbers so we did struggle to find it

Beautiful location, quiet and peaceful with plenty of wildlife to see and hear. We had a welcoming committee of swans and their six cygnets, plus ducks, house martins dipping into the lake and the heron I surprised on the deck! The lodge itself was gorgeous; very well designed, spacious, clean and comfortable with tons of storage space in the bedrooms. The kitchen was well equipped, but only used the kettle and the toaster as I don't tend to cook on holiday. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable, and despite warnings about spiders, we only had one in the bedroom, about the size of a 10p, and yes, I kept my windows open throughout the stay. Large deck area with plenty of deck furniture to sit on, but no parasol unfortunately. The corner sofa in the lodge was configured so that you could either sit facing out over the lake, which was great when the weather was a little inclement, or facing the TV, which we never watched. For privacy, the windows are predominantly on the side of the lodge not facing the neighbouring property, and are floor to ceiling height, so you have a panoramic view of the lake. Very well thought out.

The en-suite toilet was a little compact and bijou, especially for a larger person, with very little "wiggle" room, which I guess is why people are mentioning the loose toilet seat. Easy solution though is to use the loo in the family bathroom, which is much more spacious. The only other observation is that the glass screening around the deck area was quite smeared and spattered with bird poo, which is an occupational hazard I guess, but made it quite difficult to see through. Could do with hosing down.

The pictures don’t do it justice. It was a beautiful setting. The decor was stunning. You can tell it has been well thought out. It felt very homely and cosy. Loved all the nice touches. Will definitely be booking again. Thankyou for letting me stay. 😊

Great location. Lovely and peaceful. A beautiful home which was well equipped and a delight to stay in.

We arrived after dark and it was difficult to locate the berth number. Maybe add to the access instructions - last cabin on the left?
