The hotel presents itself as a 4-star property and is well located, very close to the city center. At first glance, it also looks stylish and well-designed. However, our actual experience was quite disappointing.

First of all, the room was listed as “ground floor”, but in reality it was located below the level of the reception (which itself is slightly below street level), essentially in a basement. There was a small window facing what looked like a dug-out area, so a little natural light did come in, but it was very limited and the room was overall quite dark. The space also felt humid, and without keeping the bathroom ventilation on, there was an unpleasant musty smell. The room is aesthetically nice, but not practical: for example, the air conditioning unit is covered by a wooden structure that blocks proper airflow, making it largely ineffective. During our stay (4 nights), the room was never cleaned. The trash was taken out only once after several requests, and one time we had to do it ourselves. Towels and bed linen were never changed. One evening there was no hot water at all. At reception we were told it was an issue affecting the whole building, but for a 4-star hotel one would expect alternative solutions. Basic amenities were also lacking: upon arrival we were given two small bottles of water (one still and one sparkling) and two coffee capsules. During the stay, water was replenished only once (again one still and one sparkling), and the coffee capsules were not refilled. Overall, the hotel may look nice, but it does not meet the standards of a 4-star property in terms of service, comfort, or attention to guests.

Excellent location near the old town. Friendly reception staff. Very stylish decor.

My room was a very glamorous navy blue, but this made it rather dark.

friendly staff, comfy bed and quiet room. The receptionist was very accommodating and upgraded my room for free.

I requested to change room, as the one I chose during my booking was very noisy due to traffic and people walking just outside the window. Lighting could be improved.

Great location near old town. Good price for a recently renovated and very nice room.

No real outside view; not a problem for us but good to be aware of if you are looking for that.
