37a Stonegate Loft

Location was really central. Lots of restaurants and bars near by.

Bedrooms nearest the street were very noisy. Made it difficult to sleep. We were also only given one set of keys for the flat. Not ideal for 7 people.

Great location. No taxis were needed.

For a house that sleeps 10 there were not enough cups (6) for a coffee, cutlery or plates. The carpets on the stairs up to the bedrooms had quite a few dead flies and wasps. Think the rooms had been hoovered but not the stairs.

Location was great. Kitchen was good size.

Too many stairs. Untidy and dirty hallway ground level. Lounge suite was dirty and stained. Dirty bed sheets on loft double bed.

Very central location, everything was in a short walking distance. Each Room was a good size for 2 people and enough bathrooms for the group.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 37 Stonegate Loft. The location was excellent and the rooms and facilities were as described and photographed. Generous amount of kitchenware provided. Consistent hot water for showers / washing. The flat was simply but tastefully furnished with many practical features to make the stay comfortable and enjoyable.

A few pieces of furniture were found broken when we had arrived. There were some issues with water draining in the main bathroom sink / en-suite shower. Could do with a few more cups for tea/coffee. A couple of the beds were sloping to one side. None of these things were so bad as to detract from the positives.

The property is in a great location, a short walk to York Minster and The Shambles. It is fully equipped with everything we needed.

There’s nothing we didn’t like so this isn’t a negative comment, but there are a lot of stairs in the property. If you had mobility issues this might not be the best choice.
