Hill Garth Cottage - 2 Bed with Wood Burning Hot Tub

Great location

The only bathroom/toilet is downstairs and joined to the kitchen. The twin beds are very uncomfortable with no padding over the springs in the thin mattress. The duvet is a light summer one in the middle of winter. There is no double glazing and none of the doors shut properly so it’s really cold, the heating never went over 19 until after 2 days when we were leaving when it just reached 20 which was still cold with all the drafts. Could have been a bit cleaner too, the lamp was stuck to the bedside table and left a thick ring when moved and there were cobwebs and dust on the bathroom walls and dust around the sofa feet. It needs some modernising with the doors and windows to make it efficient. Not luxury unfortunately

The shower was to small

Everything! Having the hot bath was a luxurious treat for us during our short break. Has everything we need. Coffee machine in bedrooms a lovely touch.

Didn’t seem to get as warm as we would have liked (but weren’t cold) and single bed had lumpy mattress.

It was poorly heated.

The house was beautifully decorated to a very high standard and was probably the best they could make if a small two up two down.

The toilet and shower are down stairs next to the kitchen and made things difficult if wanting to use the the bathroom through the night. I might be okay for middle aged people but not suitable for the very young or old as the stairs a steep.
