Gorgeous property , really nicely furnished and decorated and great location right in the centre of Wooler, some good local options for eating and drinking a couple of minutes walk away

The bathroom is downstairs , which is fine but just something to be mindful of when booking especially if there’s a group of you

- Great location in the centre of Wooler, which is a perfect base for travelling around Northumberland. - Thought the rate for two nights was excellent value for money. - Very clean and comfortable. - Hot tub was easy to use.

"Stay at the cottage in wooler"

7.0

The location was great as it was close to the centre of the village

Nice location and clean cottage, the hot tub just isn't a great choice for that location. In the cottages manual it, States to not light the hot tub until 4pm because of the neighbours washing. We waited till after 4pm to light the hot tub, but the neighbours still had there washing out so didn't feel right to light. We eventually started up the hot tub at around 6.45 and was under the understanding that it would take approximately 2hours to reach heat, after a full bag of logs that where burning well, the hot tub still wasn't warm at 10.45 so didnt manage to use the hot tub. This type of hot tub doesn't allow it to be used until at least 6pm at the earliest. Ultimately we never got to use the hot tub which was a disappointment. The shower isn't the biggest but works well. The single glazed windows to the front of the property are character to the cottage, but they do not reduce the noise from outside, although not a busy road, it did sound like the windows were open. The main bedroom floor boards could do with a bit of glue and a few screws, they are very creaky when walking about the room. Overall had a nice stay but does need a few tweaks here and there.

"Fun but a few frustrations"

5.0

Location was excellent and the furnishings were very nice. Host was concerned when we told him there was washing left in the machine and rang to check we had dealt with it ok.

That the bathroom was downstairs and the stairs were very steep - not good if you had to get up in the night. Shower was also very small. Had to pay £20 every time you wanted to light the hot tub and it was quite complicated, times you could use it was limited and didn't look overly safe. - we didn't use. There wasn't parking on the property - either up or down the hill and one night we had to park in the high street. There were cobwebs in the lounge and waste paper under the sofa.

Really chilled vibe in the cottage, comfortable and clean. The wood burning hot tub is definitely worth the wait especially if you've been walking around Northumberlands site seeing attractions. Close to local amenities

"Good value for money in great location but let down by a few small faults"

8.0

Location

Bathroom on ground floor. Although property was generally clean, I found a vape under the bed, presumably from a previous client, and the utensils draw was not very clean. I found what looked like dried baked bean sauce on the bottle opener.

"Luxury it wasn't...."

5.0

Location was excellent for exploring the Cheviot hills, Wooler common and beyond. Lovely real village with great food options.

But Luxury it was not. Several things were not great here, The sink drainer was full of the previous residents spaghetti or noodles. Cooking Pans were greasy. Toilet and tiny shower through the kitchen, and no handle on the inside of the shower cubicle. No bathmat. Soap dispenser not working. Upstairs doors won't shut, sash windows dirty. Last occupants linen still in the rooms linen basket. I could go on. It depends on where you've stayed before but many things need attention. Upgrading elderly bedding, duvets, pillows, towels etc. would be a start, and personally and I don't understand full coffee kits in each bedroom but not in the kitchen, where the water is. We did not attempt the bath sized hot tub. I know it's an old terrace cottage, but the property was not Luxury as described. Ours was just a two night stay but sorry not for us.
