AHG Dream's Bay Beach Hotel - Adults Only

It was definitely a great place to stay I can call it an oasis of peace. Very nice stuff, food, rooms and you should take a massage!

Superb! The location is lovely location and directly on the beach. It’s the perfect place to totally relax because it’s very quiet and peaceful. The manager has been very kind with us, she recommended some places to visit. You can tell he knows Zanzibar very well despite not being local. Love that there are free bicycles in surprisingly good shape and can be used to ride on the beach or in the nearby village. The rest of the staff are very friendly and helpful, too. I really loved our sea front room, with a stunning view. What we love most were the cleanness of every single place of the hotel and the food. There is a wide choice of local and international food. We liked pizza very much. Last but not least the seafood is very fresh. We recommend this hotel to everyone!

The staff tried their best to accommodate guests and were incredibly friendly. Hemedi and Mahmoud in the restaurant were awesome as were the staff in reception.

The manager, her way of welcoming guests and attending to them. She can only be described as ' penny pinching' and takes full advantage of the beauty of Zanzibar. The hotel is run like a 'pensioner's prison' where guests without transport are stuck with a mediocre experience of what Zanzibar has to offer with plenty of beans on toast, no class and no Swahili warmth! The fish and chips is priced at $ 50 and not a single coconut . We arrived for our honeymoon and had paid a premium for a sea view room. We arrived to a room that had a damp mould smell from the AC , holes in the mosquito net, the baggage stand collapsed on my foot (major hazard) and minimal view of the sea. The room faced the pool and restaurant. After what we've been offered while travelling around East Africa, we didn't expect this for what we paid ( close to £400). The entertainment in the evening was outdated and cringe worthy. We brought this to the manager's attention who at first disagreed with us and later looked into it. Her solution was to move us the next night to a different "sea view" room. This quickly got cancelled when the room's check out was extended therefore more awkward for us to move. Within the first few hours of being at the hotel, we requested the difference to be refunded as we had a basic room. In the end , we were lucky enough to have a car and ate in the nearby hotels which were extraordinary - the chef's at Sunshine Marine offered a 5 star menu of local and european food. Check out was as expected by the manager's attitude during our stay and was extremely hostile. Nothing was offered in compensation and the responsibility has been passed to booking.com.

The sunbeds "on" the beach are really nice, also the swimming pool was a nice add-on

The staff at reception was not very friendly (at the restaurant they were!), tours/taxi are quite expensive if you book from the hotel. Also, it is a bit annoying that they already ask in the morning what you want for dinner. Breakfast was fine, but nothing special.

The Hotel is a small Boutique Hotel with amazing Location just next to the beach. Our rooms (2) had sea View with a huge balcony. The Hotel and service was great. Breakfast with sea View was delicious. The staff was very friendly and did a great Job.

Location but it’s Zanzibar so all hotels have a great location if you are on the beach. Nice staff Good wifi Close to reef for good snorkeling

-Price per room 300 dollar!!! I think our problem was the price and the food. It’s an ok hotel but really not 4 star , but not for 300 dollar per room per night. The food is ok ish but again I selected a lot more. Same 4 star hotel for less per room per night walking distance with exceptional food so we went there all the time. Advise don’t take food included in the price ! -It’s a low budget hotel I think and we paid a lot more I don’t know why. -Beds uncomfortable, hard as stones -Our bathroom smelled like pee( was coming from outside.
